Excel does not have the capability to look at a word and determine how many syllables are in it, so you cannot count syllables in Excel. You could look at a word and type in the amount of syllables it has yourself and then total the number of syllables up using a SUM function.
[by FM00078]_OR, you can separate the word by its syllables for counting, (Eg: Syll a ble =3). It works but is slightly difficult to read.
