Would magnesium react with calcium nitrate?

no, it wouldn't calcium is above magnesium in the reactivity series which means that magnesium can't oxidize calcium. calcium can oxidize magnesium so calcium would react with magnesium nitrate with formation of metallic magnesium and calciumnitrate.

Do silver and calcium nitrate react balanced equation?

Yes, silver and calcium nitrate will react to form silver nitrate and calcium. The balanced equation for this reaction is: 3Ag + 2Ca(NO3)2 -> 3AgNO3 + 2Ca

Will calcium nitrate react with HCl?

Yes, calcium nitrate will react with hydrochloric acid (HCl) to form calcium chloride, nitric acid, and water. This reaction is a double displacement reaction where the nitrate ion from calcium nitrate switches places with the chloride ion from hydrochloric acid.

How many miles of calcium nitrate would react with 4.55 moles of Chromium (III) sulfate to produce chromium (III) nitrate?

To determine how many miles of calcium nitrate would react with 4.55 moles of Chromium (III) sulfate to produce chromium (III) nitrate, you would first need to write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction between calcium nitrate and chromium (III) sulfate. Then, use the stoichiometry of the reaction to convert moles of Chromium (III) sulfate to moles of calcium nitrate, and finally, convert moles of calcium nitrate to miles using the molar mass.

Would calcium nitrate and magnesium react?

Calcium nitrate and magnesium will not react since calcium is more reactive than magnesium and so, magnesium does not displace calcium (See Reactivity Series). However, if Calcium nitrate is in aqueous solution (dissolved in water), some bubbles may be seen when Magnesium is added to it, since the Magnesium would be reacting with the water and producing hydrogen bubbles.

What would calcium nitrate react with?

Calcium nitrate can react with sodium carbonate to produce calcium carbonate, sodium nitrate, and carbon dioxide. It can also react with sulfuric acid to form calcium sulfate and nitric acid. Additionally, it can react with ammonium sulfate to yield calcium sulfate and ammonium nitrate.

Would iron and calcium nitrate react?

Iron and calcium nitrate would not react with each other under normal conditions. Calcium nitrate is a source of calcium and nitrate ions, while iron is a separate element. In order for a reaction to occur, there needs to be a suitable chemical reaction between the substances.

Does calcium nitrate react with manganese?

Calcium nitrate does not react with manganese. Calcium nitrate is a salt composed of calcium and nitrate ions, while manganese is a transition metal. They do not typically react with each other under normal conditions.

What metals would calcium nitrate react with?

Calcium nitrate can react with metals like magnesium and aluminum to form their respective nitrates. It is not typically reactive with most other metals since calcium tends to be more stable in its compounds.

Would magnesium react with calcium nitrate?

What will happen if ammonium nitrate and calcium hydroxide is added at the same time?

When ammonium nitrate and calcium hydroxide are added at the same time, they will react to form ammonium nitrate and calcium nitrate along with water. This reaction is an example of a double displacement reaction where the cations of the two compounds switch places.

Reaction of hydrochloric acid and calcium nitrate?

When hydrochloric acid and calcium nitrate react, they undergo a double displacement reaction to form calcium chloride and nitric acid. The balanced chemical equation for the reaction is 2HCl(aq) + Ca(NO3)2(aq) -> CaCl2(s) + 2HNO3(aq).

What makes water with calcium oxide and calcium nitrate?

The reaction of calcium oxide and calcium nitrate dissolved in water forms calcium hydroxide and calcium nitrate solution. Calcium hydroxide is a white precipitate that forms when the two substances react together.
