You place the candle in a pan of water and light the wick. Remove all food and pets from the area and seal up the rooms. You should use one candle per room. The burning will create sulfur gas. When this gas comes in contact with water, it creates sulfuric acid which will kill all insects, because of the water in their bodies. After about 8 hours, you can return and open up the windows to let the rooms air out.

To use a sulfur candle, place it in the desired location to be fumigated (typically a closed room or space with airtight seals), light the candle, and vacate the area for the recommended duration as specified on the product. The sulfur dioxide produced by the burning candle helps to eliminate pests, bacteria, and fungi in the treated area. It is essential to follow safety precautions, such as wearing protective gear and ensuring proper ventilation after fumigation.
