As the most popular and the largest audiobook provider and seller, Audible allows you to purchase and download whatever you interest in.

You can follow the tips on its official website to download the audiobooks you want. But you should note that Audible audiobooks are always bundled with its own app.

For Example:

  • If you are using MacOS Mojave or earlier, the downloaded AAX files can be opened with iTunes.
  • If you are using MacOS Catalina, Big Sur or later, the downloaded audiobooks can be imported to Apple Books.
  • If your computer is a Windows 10 or Windows 8, you can use the Audible Windows App or Audible Sync. (If you use the Firefox browser, the downloaded files would be in .mp4 format instead of .aax format)

In this way, you should take some 3rd party tool for help to convert the downloaded audiobooks from AAX files into MP3 files, and then burn into DVD as you like. And I recommend you to try TunePat Any Audiobook Converter. It has the ability to convert and download Audible AA/AAX audiobooks to your computer, letting you burn the books to DVD and play the audiobooks without limitations.

Audiobooks are mostly protected. I am an Audible audiobooks fan. Take it as an example. Audible’s are all in AA/AAX format. So, you cannot copy them. But there is a solution. Use a converter like TunesKit Audible AA/AAX Converter to convert AAX/AA to MP3. (By the way, it is all 40% off until Dec.4, 2020.)

No, audiobooks are typically in digital formats like MP3 or AAC, which are audio-only. They cannot be copied onto a DVD, which is designed to store video and audio files. You can burn audio files onto a CD, but not a DVD.
