Mind you, it is not a system. When the right ventricle of the heart pumps de-oxygenated blood into the lung through the pulmonary artery, the carbon di oxide in the blood enters the aveolar of the lung and the oxygen in the aveolar also enters the blood stream surrounding these aveoli and this is due to the partial pressure difference of both systems. Then, the carbon di oxide passes through the bronchioles-bronchus-trachea and out through the nasal cavity.

The respiratory system removes carbon dioxide from the blood. In the lungs, carbon dioxide is exchanged for oxygen during the process of breathing. Carbon dioxide is expelled from the body when we exhale.

What system moves glucose oxygen and carbon dioxide around the body?

The circulatory system, which includes the heart, blood vessels, and blood, moves glucose, oxygen, and carbon dioxide around the body. Blood carries glucose and oxygen to cells for energy production, and carbon dioxide is transported back to the lungs to be exhaled.

What is the system function of the Respiratory System?

The respiratory system's main function is to facilitate the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between the body and the environment. This is achieved through breathing, where oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide is removed from the body. The respiratory system also helps regulate the body's pH balance by controlling the levels of carbon dioxide in the blood.

What structures of the circulatory system carry blood containing carbon dioxide from the body back to the heart?

Veins are the main structures of the circulatory system that carry blood containing carbon dioxide from the body back to the heart. The pulmonary veins are particularly responsible for carrying oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.

What systems share the responsibility of supplying cells of the body with oxygen and disposing of carbon dioxide?

The respiratory system is responsible for taking in oxygen and removing carbon dioxide from the body, while the circulatory system is responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to cells and removing carbon dioxide from cells to the lungs for exhalation. Together, these systems work to ensure cells receive oxygen for cellular respiration and remove waste carbon dioxide.

What is the most important chemical stimuli leading to increased rate of breath?

The most important chemical stimuli leading to an increased rate of breathing is an increase in carbon dioxide levels in the blood. This triggers the body's respiratory control system to stimulate the respiratory muscles to breathe more rapidly and deeply to remove excess carbon dioxide and restore normal blood gas levels.

What remove carbon dioxide and brings oxygen to the blood?

The respiratory system removes carbon dioxide from the blood and brings oxygen into the blood. This process occurs through the lungs, where oxygen from the air is exchanged for carbon dioxide in the blood.
