If your a passenger in a stolen car and know for a fact the car is stolen because the ignition was tampered with or you know the driver does not own the car then you can be charged with : 1. accessory after the fact travelling in a stolen car The only way to avoid the charge you would have to have the driver defend you by saying you did not know the car was stolen.
it would be gone
no you can't sue but if your car is permanently stolen the you can get the dealer of your car to buy you a new one or you can put it onto your claims bonus and get your money back from what you originally paid for your car the first time you bought it. i hope i answered your question correctly.
Assuming the stolen car was insured, the stolen cars insurance would be responsible. If the stolen car was not insured, the driver, if located would be responsible. If not located then the owner would probably be held responsible. Hopefully the struck vehicle is insured for "uninsured motorist" coverage. Filing the report after the accident would document the theft, but not neccesarily clear the owner of responsibility.
Yes, he does lose it.
No one but the thief and he/she is not going to have any money so you lose.
The only way that can be a bad thing is if the car is stolen. You would have had to report it stolen prior to the ticket or accident.
Sure, you can get in trouble. After all, you are likely to be suspected of having stolen the car, even if you didn't. You would have to be able to prove that it had actually been stolen by someone else, and you were an innocent bystander. Any time you are in a stolen car, that is a suspicious circumstance.
If a finnancing reposesor has takin the car, and it was stolen from him. it would be listed as a stolen vehicle by the local police. when found would be immediately towed and impounded. until the "OWNER" of the car retrieves it.. Wich means the bank, or financing company that the car was bought from.
how to find my stolen car when i have the thiefs name Call the police.
Not possible to report them stolen unless they go jacked off in a car lot
