In most cases yes, that is why it is important to wear the safety belt.
The best choice is to REPLACE the airbags! The SRS airbag is a safety device which can save your life in case of an accident!
Airbags are designed to complement safety belts, providing an additional layer of protection during a collision. While safety belts restrain occupants and prevent ejection from the vehicle, airbags deploy to cushion and reduce the impact force on the body. Together, they significantly enhance occupant safety by minimizing injuries in the event of an accident. Proper use of both systems is essential for maximizing protection.
- Seat belts, also known as safety belts, are a safety feature that secures the passenger in the vehicle seat in case of an accident. Seat belts are part of the occupant restraint system that helps to avoid harmful movement of the passengers, which could lead to injuries and also protects the occupants from being ejected from the vehicle. - Seat belt tensioner work in conjuction with the airbag help to optimize the performance of the airbag systems. Maintaining proper occupant position reduces the amount of work the airbags must perform, and thus increases the level of protection provided by the SRS system. Keeping the occupant in the proper position minimizes injury due to the rapid inflation of the airbags.
The purpose of the SRS indicator light is to alert you to a potential problem with your front airbags. On cars with side airbags, this light will also alert you to a potential problem with your automatic seat belt tensioners or your side airbags or passenger's side airbag automatic cutoff system. If the light comes on at any other time, or does not come on at all, you should have the system checked by your dealer. For example: * If the SRS indicator light does not come on after you turn the ignition ON (II). * If the light stays on after the engine starts. * If the light comes on or flashes on and off while you drive. If you see any of these indications, your front or side airbags may not deploy, your passenger's side airbag automatic cutoff system may not work properly, or your seat belt tensioners may not work when you need them. For safety, see your Honda dealer as soon as possible.
not necessarily..
Airbags are designed to deploy rapidly during a collision to cushion and protect occupants from the force of impact. They work in conjunction with seat belts, which help keep passengers securely positioned, minimizing the risk of injury. While airbags do absorb some of the impact energy, they are most effective when used alongside other safety features in a vehicle, such as crumple zones and advanced braking systems, to enhance overall safety during crashes.
I guess you can remove the Fuse that makes the airbag work! Open the hood and you'll see a fuse box on the top right hand side under the hood. Open the Fuse Box and you'll see the Fuse Map under it. Check which Fuse makes the Airbags work. Find the fuse and remove it. This will stop your Airbags from working. But in the first place, I suggest Airbags is s good safety feature. Let it be the way it is!
Maybe
They slow the stopping time of the person because when they hit the airbags, they slow down until the airbags push them out again. They also give the extra distance for the person to come to a stop. This is the physics reason behind how airbags work.

Disarm? the airbags. Unhooking the battery for 2 minutes will make the system safe to work on.Disarm? the airbags. Unhooking the battery for 2 minutes will make the system safe to work on.
Fasten the buckles of the drivers and the passengers seats together -or- if that is not the problem - the seat belt warning is hard-wired into the safety systems of the car and cannot be disabled by pulling a fuse. Only a qualified mechanic that will consent to work on your car's safety systems and air bags will do this work for you due to the liability of their actions.
