No the 390 is a big block the 302 is a small block.
Depends on the C6 transmission you have. They made several variants for different Ford Engine types for the FE and 385 Big Blocks. So For a 390 you will need a C6 that mates to an FE engine.
No, the 390 uses a C6 transmission and the 289 uses a smaller C4.
I believe that's .017 point gap with the automatic transmission equipped 390
Usually a C6 transmission.
12 degrees BTDC with the automatic transmission ( unless the engine compartment decal shows different )
302, 351, 360, 390, and 427
The size could be 302, 351, 360, 390, or 427. For an inline 6, the size is probably 240 or 300.
The 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra has a : 4.6 L - DOHC - 32 valve supercharged V8 engine with intercooler 390 horsepower and 390 lb-ft torque T 56 - 6 speed manual transmission
Gose counterclockwise on 302-360-390 and 460.
i think somewhere i heard that the 390 v8 actually has 390 hp, but im not sure
The original Cobra had a Ford 260 or 289 cid V8. The later models used the large block "FE" 427 engine. The lowest cost engine that would be considered 'authentic' would be a 260, 289 or 302. The 302 is visually the same as the 289. You could also install a 332, 352, 360, 390, or 410 large block, and that would be visually indistinguishable from the 427. tomw
