I have a Ford F350, And know of this problem. First check the head lamp bulbs to see if they are bad. Then check all the fuses and relays. If those are all good, check the connectors to the head lamp themselves. They are known to literally burn up with time. They may need replacing.
Tail lights and brake lights fuse.
do 1998 ford f450 have day time running lights
Where is the fuse for running lights on 2001 e250
why don't any of my running lights work
It sounds like a blown fuse or a bad head light switch
The 1992 Ford Ranger did not come equipped with daytime running lights.
The daylight running lights of a Ford Explorer can be turned off by using the manual headlight control switch. Place the switch in the middle position to turn the daytime running lights off. The headlights will then need to be turned on manually at dusk.
you have a short or maybe it's a fuse shot

Check the daytime running lights module. This item was defective in some vehicles in the early 90's, and when it failed the result was lights that would not turn off or they would be very dim when the vehicle was running. You can check for recalls at the dealer.
They probably aren't grounded.
brakes and running lights have separate fuses. check the fuse then check the brake light switch under the dash
