as per my analysis tata nano flopped due to following reasons...........
1. in India car is also a status symbol, a car marketed as cheapest car in the world, a car for people who can not afford other cars... is defiantly not a status symbol even for middle class Indians.
2. tata cars are not very reliable, tata cars are known for being high maintainace cars, less reliable cars
3. few safety aspects are also compromised for e.g. there is a visible rod between front seats & back seats to add sturdiness of the vehicle but it is a definite hazard case of an accident.
4. engine sounds like auto rickshaw engine!!!!!!!!
5. even if you book nano, time & probability of delivery was depended on your luck!!!!!!!!!
6. reduction in second hand car prices of more reliable car manufacturers like maruti & availabilty of finance for the same
