It depends on the type of car but some have a reset for the engine light which is designed to come on and tell you when you need routine mantainence. Check your owners manual to see if you have such a vehicle.
That is a check engine light. It could be many things but it needs to be hooked to a diagnostic machine to determine what the problem is.
Check to see if it is hooked up properly. If there is sound coming out, then it definitley works, but check the video jack to see if it is hooked up into your ps3 and tv.
nothing that's why they made a pace maker well they did have a machine you were hooked up to and if your heart stoped it shocked you i don't know what its though
They're hooked to a transmission which is hooked to an engine.
It is the port, where a diagnostic machine can be hooked up. The diagnostic will read codes from your vehicles computer. For instance if your check engine light comes on, you can plug the diagnostic machine into the data port and it will tell you why the check engine light came on so that you can get it fixed.
There could always be a fault in the computer itself.
It would probably have to be hooked up to a diagnostic machine. Or you might be able to get a code reader to see if that does it.. but I doubt it if its a 2004, it probably will more than likey require the expensive diagnostic machine that is at mechanic shops.

Because you are hooked up to a machine mororn
nothing
check engine light codes can be checked at a local advanced auto or auto parts store. it needs to be hooked to a diag machine. if you're looking for the plug, it -should- be under the lip before your pedals, beneath the steering wheel.
No a programmer does not do everything I think they are hooked up to a machine which programs stuff!!
