Looking from the front the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is just to the left of the engine coolant reservoir
The dipstick is a special tool that only the dealer or transmission shop will have. The tube is behind and below the coolant bottle.
To check the coolant level of a vehicle first see look for the overflow reservoir. There should be a coolant dipstick with a level gauge on it. Remove it from the reservoir to see the coolant level.
( Yes ) on a 1996 Ford Probe the fill for the engine coolant reservoir is located in the engine compartment , between the battery and the drivers side fender . There is a dipstick attached to the cap and with the engine cool the dipstick should indicate that the coolant level is up to the L mark Remove the cap with dipstick , wipe the dipstick clean and reinstall the cap , remove the cap again and check the coolant level . If it shows below L it came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN colored antifreeze meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A so you would want to add coolant
Looking into the hood, it will be on the left side in the middle. Just above the coolant. It should be a yellow dipstick
Down on what? Engine oil, check the dipstick. Coolant, check the reservoir.
On my 2000 3 Series, it is right in front of the engine near the coolant reservior.
On a 2007 Ford Expedition : The engine oil dipstick is on the drivers side of the engine near the engine coolant reservoir and the brake fluid reservoir
With your engine cold there usually is a cold fill mark on the reservoir or there might be a dipstick attached to the reservoir cap that has a L or F mark
There is a plastic tank mounted on the top of the radiator, there should be a yellow cap marked "coolant" on your right hand side, this tank also holds your washer fluid which is on the left hand side so be careful to make sure the cap you are removing is marked "COOLANT".... Once you pop the cap there will be a little dipstick located inside, youll check your coolant level with that. If the dipstick is missing youll want to fill the tank about 2 inches from the bottom of the tank lid.
It is the red one to the left of the battery tray, right of the upper/lower coolant hoses.
Most likely blown head gasket but for some reason you have water or coolant in your oil
