TO COOL IT DOWN
It's probably the catalytic converter fan; not the a/c fan.
There is probably a short in the fuse block or maybe you just might have a problem with the remote wire for the fan. Is It the radiator fan or the A/C fan?
The fan turns on when you turn your car off so that the engine will cool down faster. It should only run for a few minutes, 10 max. But your fan also runs when your car is on not just when it is turned off.
The engine coolant fan can keep running after the engine is turned off in any car because the temperature gauge is in the radiator. As long as the radiator is still hot, the fan will keep running until the temperature gauge says it has cooled enough.
What would cause my fan to keep running after turning the car off it is a 2005 kia sorento
Your Accord is overheating. The fan is running to try and cool the engine off. seek professional help immediately before you destroy the engine.
well for one is your keyed turned all the way off. But i would say you probably have a short in you wiring somewhere. But try turning off the heater while the car is running then shut your car off.
Maybe the fan cooling your car off.
the fan should run after car is tuned off until engine the temp is down ,then it the fan should shut off
it is still running off the battery, most of the time it will turn off when you open the door
The fan on most modern cars will continue to run after turning it off. The fan should turn off automatically after the thermostat senses that the radiator's antifreeze fluid has cooled. This is normal, especially if the car has been running for a long time or has been driven hard. It is more common when the car is run during warm weather and during city driving.
It cycles the fan on and off to cool the engine to a certain temperature and to keep it from running hot
