I have twogm 1500s,they both have the same problem your talking about. The best solution is to locate the wiper motor and check, clean and or replace electric connection. You can purchase the replacement part at your local dealership. You can also have someone turn wipers on after finding the wire harness and give it a juggle. It may surprise you at first. If all else fails after you checked, cleaned and or replaced wire harness its most likely to be the wiper motor. You can purchase those not thru your dealer!!!!! Local parts house carry them or will order them for you. Hoped i ve helped, good luck. I love my g.m.c. Trucks.
Because they are BROKEN
why don't the windshild wipers work on 1995 ford countours. their is no power to fuse box or wiper motor.
Check the fuse for the wipers. Otherwise the wiper motor is probably done for.
you turn on the wipers and it sounds like theres a gear sliping, sounds like its running but makes noise?
No, the 1994 has a hydraulic governer. The 1998 has a electrical governer.
There are several things that can cause your windshield wipers not to work. The most common cause is a malfunctioning windshield wiper motor.
A bad fuse may be the cause of windshield wipers not working on a 1998 Lumina. The switch that activates the wiper motor is another possible cause for the wipers not working.
The wipers either act up are just not work at all.
If your 1992 Camry Wagon rear wipers do not work, it could possible be the motor. Be sure to check the motor as well as the fuses for any issues.
If on the same circuit, it may be the fuse.
2000 expedition wipers & radio don't work when in drive
the pulse board is bad. it bolts onto the wiper motor.
