In Rocky V, Rocky Balboa was a victim of mismanagement (theft) of funds from his accountant who had control of his money. The family went broke and they had to move back to their old home. Rocky wanted to fight again to make more money but his doctor advised against it because he suffered too many blows to the head from previous fights. The doctor told him if he got hit in the head again, he may suffer brain damage or may die if he was to fight again.
