Could be a bad temperature sensorUsually located at the rear of the radiator about 1/3 down from the top
Because its probably not working. Try turning on the AC to see if they both kick on and make sure to do this when the car is warm. If the car is cold they fans wont kick in.
Explain what's happening with the car's fan a little better. When driving the car its ok, when I am in traffic for 15 minutes and over the temp, starts to rise.If I put the ac on, IN traffic, it over heats.
either the thermostat or the fan is no good. You would need to locate the thermostat and see if its stuck open or closed!
If the car is over heating then it could be that the electric cooling fan motor is not working so the fan can
to help cool the engine.oil does alot of the cooling, but not all.its also the source of your car heaters heat.its a mini radiator that coolant from your engine flows through, heats up and a fan blows that into your cabin.
get in the car when it is cold, turn on the ac, then check under the hood. the fan that is not spinning when the car is cold is the cooling fan
your cooling fan(s) is/are not working your cooling fan(s) is/are not working
Check to see if fan is getting power: Turn A/C or defroster on If getting power fan motor is defective If not getting power check fuse and/or relay If operates this way temperature sensor may be defective
when the car starts to over heat
Try checking the fan grounds located on the passenger side of the car up front. It's under the air conditioning line hold down bracket.
Either the fan itself is bad or the fan sensor switch that tells the fan when to kick on is bad.
