Change your O2 (Oxygen) Sensor and check your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) located on transmission. Finally, check your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).

These items are relatively inexpensive to change if you purchase on eBay. AZ and Advance have severally inflated prices. Additionally, run some fuel injector cleaner through your system and clean and re-gap park plugs.

O2 sensors should be changed every 40K-50K miles as a matter of normal maintenance. If you decide to change your VSS, then changing the Input Speed (Turbine) Sensor at the same time is recommended. You can buy these in pairs on eBay for less than the cost of one VSS at AZ or Advance.

If after these changes your vehicle is still going into limp-in mode, test your Transmission Solenoid Pack ensuring the pins that connect to the plug terminals are clean and connecting properly and have your system scanned for fault codes.

Hope this helps and good luck to you...
