∙ 14y agoThe reason for this is because the furnace has not warmed up yet. The blower kicks on the same time the burner lights. However the furnace does not go into "high fire" until after a period of about 10 min. After this stage is when you will really begin to feel the warm air.

The earth is not going to blow up
The present tense of "blow" is "blows."
There is a delay on the fan to allow the furnace to get hot so as not to blow cold air into the home at start up. There is also an `OFF` delay, where the fan runs for a minute or so after the flame shuts off. This is to cool down the furnace.
It blows off because you blow out carbon dioxiced and fire needs oxygen to burn!
