It could be your IAC, Idle Air Control. The IAC can be affected by temperatures. A test to see if this is your problem, start your engine and allow it to stall. Open your hood and VERY LIGHTLY tap your IAC with a hammer or screwdriver. Try starting it again. If it runs fine, your IAC is sticking. If not, take it in and get it looked at.
what would cause my car to run fine when it has first started up then after a while first gear will kinda bog down.
The reason that he chevy truck may continue to bog down, is due to the car needing to warm up before starting. There may also be an issue with the fuel pump.

There are several reasons why a car will start and then bog down when the accelerator is pushed. Some of the reasons could be plugs, fuel pump, or the catalytic converter.
It does not always mean that will happen, but it is certainly a common cause and if your car is sputtering and bogs down it would be one of the first things to check.
it depends on what car and engine. it could be your fuel filter, or a vacuum leak. your converter might be pluged also. these are some things to check out about the problem.
The Tollund Man's body was well-preserved in the bog due to the unique conditions of the acidic, oxygen-poor environment, which slowed decomposition and preserved soft tissues. The peat bog acted as a natural preservative, protecting the body from bacteria and fungi that would typically break down organic material. The cold temperature of the bog also played a role in the preservation of the Tollund Man.
Don't know how cold your cold is but, it could be water in the fuel system (ice).
