The PCV system seems to be inadequate to hold crankcase pressure that builds up. Many owners of stock, relatively new LT4 engines in C4s have claimed thiers exhibit this "dipstick popping out" behavior at high RPMs, so it's nothing unusual. The LT4s in particular have modified piston rings to prevent "fluttering" and letting excess blowby gasses through, but they get through anyway. I also have oil stains around my PCV valve itself, probably from high revving.
It usually goes in where the dipstick for the transmission is.
If the place where the dipstick for the oil is comes out of the engine it will cause an oil leak. The engine might not be able to build up enough pressure to keep running either on the 1984 Cutlass Supreme. It should be replaced.
there isn't a dipstick, the fluid level is checked at the transmission pan.while the vehicle is running you remove a plug and fill the teansmission until fluid comes out.after that you put the plug back in.Who said Ford had a better idea?
The oil dipstick tube comes out of the block on the driver's side.
you have to jack the car up as its running, run it threw the gears, then with the car still running there is a plug similar to the one used to drain oil, unscrew it if fluid comes out its full.
It is building up pressure. Too much fluid, or the vent is clogged.
APPARENTLY its running for 30 weeks instead of 21 and will be aired in April
The C4 Engine runs on the Mac and requires MacOS X 10.5 or later and runs on both Intel and PowerPC systems. If your Mac is capable of running the C4 Engine you need to describe any problems more specifically.
Most GM vehicles no longer have a transmission dipstick. The level is checked by removing a plug in the transmission while the engine is running. Add fluid until it comes out the the plug hole. Of course the vehicle will will have to be raised off the ground to remove the plug and must be level.
Call DriveTrain.com 1-800-216-1632 they should be able to help you figure out which C4 you have. Hope This Helps and Good Luck.
ASR, (Acceleration Slip Regulation)
Through the automatic transmission dipstick tube. Add proper fluid with engine running, transmission in park, until the dipstick reads full cold. Type of fluid is marked on the dipstick.
