check your coolant temperature sensor
Primes the system when the fuel pump is turned on so the engine can start right after cranking. As soon as the fuel pump gets its voltage it gives a squirt
If the injectors on a 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic aren't spraying, it could be due to several reasons, including a faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel filters, or issues with the fuel injectors themselves. Additionally, electrical problems such as a blown fuse, bad wiring, or a malfunctioning engine control module (ECM) could prevent the injectors from receiving the necessary signals to operate. Checking fuel pressure and ensuring the electrical connections are intact can help diagnose the issue.
check for spark at plugs sounds like a ign problem

The same thing happened with my a987 Chevy Celebrity 2.8L V6. Its problem turned out to be failed fuel injectors. I replaced 3 out of the 6 injectors and it has been fine since.
PCV Valve is located near front of hood on the engine block between the fuel injectors.
If the starter is turning over on the 1989 Honda Civic but the engine is not getting gas, the problem is more likely the fuel pump than the injectors. Clogged injectors might cause difficult starts but a damaged fuel pump will cause the vehicle to receive no fuel at all.
To change the fuel injectors on a 1989 Z24 with a 2.8L engine, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and relieve the fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls. Next, remove the intake manifold to access the fuel rail, then unclip and disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors from the injectors. Replace the old injectors with new ones, ensuring to use new O-rings, then reassemble everything in reverse order, reconnect the battery, and check for leaks.
I would suspect over voltage as to the reasons why fuel injectors would burn out. The pulse that opens the injectors comes from the engine control module so I would check that along with associated wiring. Check the wiring for shorts to other wires.
AnswerThis is the 2nd year that Ford put the Fuel Injection on the 460 Engine. All you have to do is look for the Fuel Injectors on the Intake Manifold. There are 4 of them on each side.
Possible reasons the fuel injectors are not working: Faulty ECM (engine control module, computer) Faulty fuel injector(s). Fuel injectors clogged. Insufficient fuel pressure. Bad Ground. Faulty wiring otherwise.
no gas no power
