The creator of Trailer Park Boys, Mike Clattenburg wanted to end the show after the fifth season of the show, but decided to produce two more seasons of the show. After the final episode of the seventh season, there was one final TV special, Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys that ended the television Trailer Park Boys saga. In 2009, a second film entitled: Countdown to Liquor Day was released in September 2009 which officially ended Trailer Park Boysand that no future seasons would be made.
After Trailer Park Boys ended, the boys decided to work on other projects. They started a series in 2011 called The Drunk and on Drugs: Happy Funtime Hour which lasted six episodes. Ever since the end of the series, the boys have done live shows across the world which also feature appearances from Mr. Lahey and Randy. They then started their own TV network entitled: Swearnet which is an internet network that involves swearing and doing what they want.
In 2012, it was confirmed that Trailer Park Boys would return for a third film entitled: Don't Legalize It and Robb Wells, J.P. Tremblay and Mike Smith signed on to return as the boys. Filming began in March 2013 and ended in late April. No word on a release date, but many anticipate a release in 2013-2014. On July 4th 2013, the boys confirmed on Swearnet that they bought Trailer Park Boys and that filming for an eighth season would begin on July 17th 2013. The new episodes will air on Swearnet, not on TV and all cast members are set to return. No official air date for the season premiere, but is hoping to be aired before the end of 2013.

yes, trailer park boys was cancelled. the cast are working on a sequel to the 2007 big screen feature trailer park boys-the movie(not to be confused with the original 1999 black & white movie of the same name). the movie sequel to the 2007 movie has the working title countdown to liquor day. it is slated for an October 2009 release. according to trailer park boys creator/screenwriter/producer mike clattenburg, after this movie, there will be no more trailer park boys, which pisses me right off !
