Things to check: when hot & fan should be on, tap the fan motor to see if it comes on power up fan manually with jumper wires to a battery to see if it will work check temp sender switch (unplugging should make fan come on in some cases) You could have a ground problem or a problem in the wiring harness
Turn the AC on and the electric fan on the radiator should run.
Check the fuse and the connections first. If the fuse and connections are good, then turn on the A/C. If the fan does not run, then apply 12 volts directly to the fan. If it still does not run it is defective. If it runs then the thermal relay is defective and needs replacing.
The radiator fan sensor switch or the radiator fan motor are at fault (maybe even both). Wire the fan motor direct to see if it will run, if it does, replace the sensor switch. If the fan motor doesn't run, replace the fan motor before you buy a new sensor. If after replacing the fan motor, the fan still doesn't run, then replace the sensor.
It is Radiator fan which shuts on and off automatically because there is a timingdevice which operates the fan to keep the engine coolant cool in extreme temperature.
Check the fan temperature switch at the bottom of the radiator. A good switch will complete the circuit and turn on the fan on when a certain temperature is reached. Test the fan by running jumpers directly to the battery.
Either the fan is no good or the heat sensor in your radiator, that turns the fan on is not working!!
Check and replace the Relay I was told by dealership that I needed a radiator fan timer but now I don't know where to install the one they sent me

Answer: Air condition systems use 2 cooling fans while the radiator usually uses one fan.
Run a hot wire to the positive wire on the radiator fan. If it works, then you have a fuse or a relay (or even a short in the wire). If it doesn't work at all, then the fan motor is bad.
Either your engine is running hot or the fan switch in the radiator has failed or the relay is stuck.
unplug the coolant sensor and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. The fan will run.
