∙ 15y agoYou should always stop when pulling out of a parking lot onto a road. There may be a car coming fast in one direction as you look in another.
the person pulling out
no matter where a vehicle is parked, the moving vehicle is at fault every time.
Theone pulling out from a stop sign. The parking lot ALWAYS yields to the flow of traffic on the main thoroughfare.

The car pulling from the parking space is at fault
The legality of the spots geneally have nothing to do with the liabilty for the collision, and the decision would likely be made as if they were both legal parking spots.
Not required, but not a bad idea.
I beleive, whoever's car is moving (wheel-wise), is at fault.
If you are pulling out and hit the other car.....you are. Person in the lane has the right of way.
You can perform angle parking by cutting the steering wheel at a sharp angle and then pulling into a space. Keep the wheel cut to achieve an angle.
Usually their is no fault associated with parking lots. I'm sure your insurance company looks at it as your fault.
