Well, honey, it looks like First National Life Insurance Company of New Orleans, LA was taken over by Protective Life Insurance Company. So, if you're looking for your policy, you might want to give them a ring and see what's what. Good luck, sugar!

The First National Life Insurance Company of New Orleans, Louisiana was taken over by the Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company in 1966. Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company was a prominent insurance provider in the United States at that time and the acquisition of First National Life Insurance Company expanded its market presence. This takeover was part of a broader trend of consolidation and acquisitions in the insurance industry during that era.

How can I get a policy # for a pollicy purchased from First National Life?

That company was a division of Commonwealth Life Insurance Company (CLIC) in Louisville, KY (according to the policy document I have). CLIC's name was subsequently changed to Kentucky Commonwealth Life Insurance Company. Then, in in 1998-99 it was acquired by MONUMENTAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY.
