Sensor to replace is at tail end of automatic transmission. This is called the speed sensor. It may be plug in or have a long tail on the wiring. Check which one you have. easy replacement.
It would be found in the fuse/relay center under the hood.
Check the headlight switch, if not it's probably a fusible link in the headlight circuit.
Transmission temp sensor can cause a slip or high rpm before shifting to next gear.
check crankshaft sensor sensor
Check to see that all other lights work on the neon. Check for a headlight fuses, relay, and a bad switch. Check for any loose wiring that can cause power loss to the headlight.
If a knock sensor was bad, the check engine light would be illuminated and the code(s) set would indicate so.
Check to see if the wiring is damaged.
The first thing I would check would be the headlight fuses. (There may be one fuse per headlight.) Also, examine the headlights carefully for any damage.
The check engine light would illuminate and the code(s) set would lead you to which O2 sensor is at fault or why the sensor set the code.
how do i know if the o2 sensor is bad. The check engine light would illuminate and the code(s) set would steer you to the faulty O2 sensor.
Could be a number of things, the first thing I would check would be the TPS (throttle position sensor)The sensor itself could have a bad spot which would mean replacing the sensor, also check the electrical connection at the sensor. Second would be to check the connection at the MAF (Mass Airflow sensor). Other things to check would be fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay. Good luck
