Check the fuse and the relay. If it's the fuse, and the next fuse blows out immediately, be suspicious of the fuel pump.
Turn the key to the on postition without starting the truck. You should hear a buzzing sound in the rear of the truck for approx 3-5 seconds. If you do not hear anything, it's either the fuel pump or the fuel pump solinoid which is located in the fuse box under the hood. Does the truck start?
Yes there is a fuse.
It is the same fuse that feeds the PCM. So if the truck runs and the alternator works it is not a fuse.
Consult your owner's manual.
Mine was fuse number 9 on the circut board. It is not labeled as fuel pump, but as either ignition or battery..........
In the Power Distribution Center under the hood. The underside of the cover has a guide as to which relay/fuse is which.
Which fuse is correct on for duel pump relay for 1999 cadillic catra
The 1986 Ford F1 50 pickup truck fuel pump fuse will be the number six fuse. The number six fuse will be in the first column, fourth from the bottom.
