The trouble code 028 for the pedal potentiometer track circuit 2 on a Renault Clio indicates a malfunction in the pedal position sensor, which tracks the position of the accelerator pedal. This issue can lead to improper throttle response or reduced engine performance. Potential causes include wiring faults, a faulty sensor, or poor connections. Diagnosing the specific issue generally involves inspecting the sensor and its connections for any damage or corrosion.

To change the outside air temperature sensor on a Renault Clio, first, locate the sensor, typically found near the front grille or behind the bumper. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sensor, which may require unscrewing or unclipping it. Install the new sensor in the same position, reconnect the electrical connector, and ensure it’s secure. Finally, test the sensor to confirm it’s functioning correctly.
