Depending on which coil you're speaking of, it could be marked: ( - ), NEG, or TACH.
Connect the green wire to the negative side of the coil.
Its located up and alittle to the right of coil packs on back side of block
If it is the 2.2 engine, on the lower passenger side of the engine block. It is best reached from underneath.
The negative side of a coil, often referred to as the negative terminal or end, is typically where the current flows out of the coil in a circuit. In a standard electromagnetic coil, this side corresponds to the direction of current flow as defined by conventional current (from positive to negative). In many applications, such as in motors or transformers, the negative side can be identified based on the orientation of the magnetic field produced by the coil.
On the Chevy 2.8L V6 engine, the negative side of the ignition coil is typically connected to the distributor or ignition control module. It is usually marked with a minus sign (-) on the coil itself. To ensure proper functioning, it's important to connect the negative terminal to the appropriate wire leading to the ignition system. Always consult a service manual for specific wiring diagrams and instructions.
are you talking about a sm. block hei. dist. if so there are 2 spade connectors on the side of the cap , one says tach. The tach signal comes from the negative side of the coil.
negative side of coil, or if electronic distributor it will have a port on the distributor, then its power wire and ground and then same for lights
Firewall side of the engine block, couple of bolts hold it to the block, pull straight away from the block when removing as crank sensor, (extending approx. 2-3" long into the block), is mounted directly behind it to the coil/module base
There is no coil wire only spark plug wires. The coil pack can be found on the lower passenger side of engine block. It is best seen and accessed from under the vehicle.
The negative side of this coil is that it doesn't have a injector pulse. There also was a problem with the lack of spark.
The ignition module and coils are located on the lower passenger side of engine block. It is best to access from underneath.
red (+) wire to possitive side of coil- Black (-) wire to negative side of coil. thats it.
