What is full tank level?
The fuel tank in vehicles varies with the model. A full tank for
one might be 12 gallons, for others, 30 gallons. If you're looking
for a definition, then whenever you cannot fit anymore liquid into
the tank, then where the liquid stops is where the full tank level
is. Some tanks also have an indicator either painted or embossed
into the side of the tank that lets you know not to fill it past
that line (full line). For dipstick applications (say for the oil
in an engine), the full tank level would be indicated by the
engraved markings on the dipstick itself. Sometimes there are no
obvious indicators on a dipstick, in this case, the dipstick will
usually have two holes: the one towards the bottom tip being the
minimum indicator and the one above it being the full
indicator.
