Disclaimer: I haven't worked specifically with the C13, but I've worked with several other models of Cat engines (and would never own anything made after the 6NZ, personally). In my experience, they've been in the side of the block on the left hand side of the engine, maybe just slightly past the center point going towards the front of the engine.
The MAP/Boost Sensor of a Cat C7 engine is located on the driver's side of the engine near the back side. It is next to the valve cover in the intake manifold.
upstream sensor will be located before the cat downstream sensor will be located on the cat itself
Bank 1 = The side of the engine the Number 1 cylinder is on Sensor 1 = between engine and catalitic converter Sensor 2 = After cat...
left side of the engine after the cat
in the exhaust pipe between the engine and the cat
The Sensor that is located after cat. converter on side of engine with evenly numbered cylinders.
O2 sensor before cat is located on the back side of the motor between the firewall and engine. Look there and on the exhaust pipe you'll see a sensor there. Follow the wire and unplug it, then using a 22m O2 sensor socket remove it from the exuaust pipe. This maybe easier when the engine is warm but be careful of the hot exhuast pipes!
passenger side of car either on the exhaust manifold or in the pipe before the cat converter..... the one behind cat is sensor 2
Bank 2 is the drivers side (side where cylinder 2 is located) of the engine and sensor 2 is the O2 sensor that is post/past the Cat converter.. sensor 1 is pre-cat converter. And Bank one is passenger side (side where cylinder one is located) and O2 sensors 1 and 2 are same sequence as in bank 2... Sensor 1 is pre cat and sensor 2 is post cat converter..hope this helps..
There is an upstream and downstream O2 sensor (bank1 and bank2). Upstream is located close to the engine bay in FRONT of the cat converter, and 2 is located behind the converter.
It is located on the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter. Depending on which engine you have, there can be several O2 sensors. The one after the cat only monitors the performance of the cat. The ones before the cat effect the performance of the engine.
there are 4 sensors. 2 pre cat sensors and 2 post cat sensors. the pre cat sensors (both) are located in the overhead engine compartment towards the passenger side. the post cat converter's are located underneath and to the mid section of the engine and a pain to get to. hope this helps.
