The fusible link on a Corvair is located next to the starter solenoid. When a fusible link starts to go bad, you will notice intermittent failure of windows, wipers, radio, and central locking.
Find the starter and follow the heavy gauge wire from the starter. It will go to the starter relay or battery. If it goes to the relay then follow the heavy wire from the relay which will go to the battery.
The Starter relay for Acclaims are located right on the starter, its what the wires that go to the starter hooks to.
A fusible link had disintergrated at the battery and was removed. Toyota no longer supports this part. I was not the one that removed the link so I am not sure where it would go back. The headlights do not work after the link was removed.
Should be under the hood, on the passanger side firewall near the top. There should be a little black plastic manifold with wires hooked up them with fusible links. I know one of them goes to the starter, i had one go out a few months ago on my 1990 Chevy
I would go to the high beam switch next (test not replace)
Just bought a 95 Transport SE about a week ago, so yesterday bought the Chiltons for it. Plus we were looking for that relay box and injector fuse (that particular fuse isn't in the fuse box in the car, it's a fuseable link). Go under the hood on the passengers side up front near the headlights. You will see a closed metal box (relay box) under that will be 4 plastic fusible link boxes. The book says that the relay box handles: horn, headlights, starter, electric fuel pump & other high draw circuits. Hope this helps.
blown fuse or blown fusible link.
The fusible link is on the small size wire that comes off the battery. It comes up from under the air filter. It's probably green. It then attaches to the wiring harness that leads across the front of the motor.
I'm pretty sure the fuseable link is underneath the battery...
the fusible links are in cable harness that go trough the firewall next to the brake power booster you may have to remove some of the harness tape and shielding
Don't think there exists one. The power go from the key cylinder directly to the solinoid on the starter.
