could be a vacuum leak and clean your throttle body out.
Accelerate - gravity will always try to pull the car downhill.
Is it bogging down? if thats what your referring to, then maybe try a fuel pump if yoir car has one.
Well if you have a carberator on this truck it is most likely the booster pump
common problem with dr 200. either fuel pump piston and spring or need a larger jet. these carbs are know to have this problem.
If you have a Civic with the ECO switch turn it off before passing. If not, take it to the dealership you have a problem.
if you have fouled sparkplugs then the car will hesitate when you accelerate, seeming to 'miss' a step or two. if it's a clogged throttle body, the car will just act sluggish, gas mileage will go down and the accelerator might stick a bit when you try to step on it.
Sounds like it could be a dirty fuel filter, try taking it off and cleaning it.
There are several things that can cause your car to shut off when you try to accelerate. The most common cause is a bad fuel pump.
Probably the fan belt. Try to tighten it. If that doesn't work, replace it. (Yes, there are chemical sprays you might try, but they will wear off and the problem will be back.)
Try to accelerate slowly when leaving the stop light.
Change the fuel filter and have the cat convertor checked out
