Timing belt changing is not part of routine maintenance for a vehicle, including an Astra GSI Turbo. A timing belt is to be left alone unless a problem arises with the timing in the engine.
WHAT TIMING ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? STATIC SPILL TIMING ? CAM TIMING ? IS IT 407 TURBO OR NON TURBO ? JAY firstname.lastname@example.org 0837922103
yes you can!
common rail diesel turbo injection
where is the thermostat
if it is a 2.5L it should be 12 degrees before t.d.c.
The timing should be at 6 degrees for a non-turbo, with the distributor vacuum lines disconnected and plugged. It will be at 9 degrees for a turbo, with a test connector for idle setting grounded.
To start timing on the 2C Turbo diesel engine, you will have to locate or distinguish camshaft timing marks.
no - timing chain instead
MK Turbo Diesel 2.8 has a timing chain fitted not a belt
