Imagine a world without cars, ships, planes, trains and even motorbikes! It would be a very small world compared to the one you know today. If you wanted to go somewhere the only way to get transported would be a piggy back ride, that is, if there were no horses or donkey's available.

If you would want to move house, it would be impossible, because you could not move your furniture to the new place without a truck. In today's world we need all kinds of transport facilities to survive. Population growth means people will live further away from each other and places like shops, offices and so on.

The negative side of having no transport would be: If we didn't have factories we wouldn't have bikes or fun games there wouldn't be Rugby fans sitting in a stadium cheering for the all blacks, there wouldn't be a Fifa world cup nor a an athletics track, you would be thinking what this has to do with transport.

For example if you want to visit your family you might need a car or bus to go to their house. If you need food and other products you would need some sort of transport to go there and carry your shopping.--Without transport facilities like an airplane you would not be able to explore the world and see different countries.

In summary it is quite difficult to survive in today's world without any transport that takes people, goods and machinery from place to place.
