∙ 12y agoit sounds like a clutch or you have ruined your gear box, likely your clutch though, either way you need to go to a mechanic, good luck.

low trans fluid level.
what would cause my car to run fine when it has first started up then after a while first gear will kinda bog down.
Stripped transmission, low transmission fluid.
This is called stalling. It occurs when the gear-shift doesn't change gears correctly because of changing on a bump (train-tracks).
It sure would.
that all depend on what you want to do with the car, if you want it for the street I would go with a 3.55 gear and for the track a 4.10.
The pivot bearing can cause your car from going into gear, once the car is started. The pivot bearing is located in the transmission.
Not likely but it is possible.
Yes- providing that the speed you are traveling does not exceed the speed that you would normally upshift to 5th gear Yes- providing that the speed you are traveling does not exceed the speed that you would normally upshift to 5th gear
That would be the second gear of your automatic transmission.
YOU CANT START A NORMAL AUTONATIC TRANSMISSION IN GEAR, HOWEVER YOUR DASH INDICATES THAT YOUR NOT IN GEAR. ONE CAUSE COULD BE DAMAGE TO THE LINKAGE BETWEEN YOUR TRANS AND GEAR SELECTOR. THIS WOULD INDICATE A DIFFERENT GEAR THEN THE GEAR SELECTED. YOU MAY ALSO CHECK THE PARK PINS IN YOUR TRANS.
