In short; diluted oil. The cam sensor is inserted into the engine, either in the front timing cover or in an opening designed for a distributor originally, on engines that have been redesigned for distributorless ignition and fuel injection. an internal fuel leak can cause the oil in the crankcase to be diluted with a large amount of fuel and cause the sensor to smell like it. Either style of sensor is in direct contact with the engine oil. an internal fuel leak could be caused by a leaky fuel injector or more likely by a "dead" cylinder. When the engine is operating but one or more cylinders is not working, due to low compression or ignition problems, the fuel system on older vehicles does not cease operation of the affected cylinder, and continues to inject fuel, which is not burned and leaks past the piston rings into the oil pan. If you really meant crankshaft position sensor, which many people confuse, it is usually located externally, by the crankshaft balancer, in which case you would have a leaky fuel line most likely.
Propane has been given a sulfur-like smell for leak detection.
sulpher
Presence of sulphur.
A faulty oxygen sensor can make a car smell like gas. Oxygen and gasoline mixing wrong can cause excessive pollution. Replacing the oxygen sensor can correct this issue, and improve the gas mileage in the car.
No. Sounds like the catalytic converter is going bad. Rotten egg smell is a sign
look for a leaky fuel line
If you use medications like Provigil, this will cause it to smell like marijuana. Otherwise, I would suspect a urinary tract infection.
replace sensor, catalytic converters smell like rotten eggs when going bad
cause it good
yes of cause they do :)
Cause you like the smell of my papa!
You should have the smell of suffer checked out with gas detecting equipment because there is a possibility you are smelling deadly H2S gas
