Gunk up the engine sooner.
The inside of the gas tank will shine like new, but the fuel lines, fuel pump, and engine will be need to be cleaned out.
You will ruin the engine and have to spend several thousand for a new one.
If its leaking from the gas tank directly, then yes...but it could also be leaking from the gas line or the engine or any of the connections in between.
Try draining the gas tank completely and then Put new gas in with fuel stabilizer. Then spray starter fluid (wwd 40 works) into carburetor and start engine!! I hope this works if not then you might want to take it to a professional.
It's probably time to get a new vehicle. sounds like poor fuel at the engine and that the injectors are dirty. Use engine tuneup additives in the gas to clean out the injectors and internal chambers. You should experience increasing performance as you drive about one tank of gas.
You'll probably smell that burning smell if your gas is burning right, try putting about a cup of sugar into your gas tank as a catalyst.WRONG!! Do not put sugar in your gas tank! This will likely ruin your engine!!

To change the gas tank on an Echo 2000 trimmer, first, ensure the engine is cool and the fuel is emptied. Remove the screws or clamps securing the old gas tank, then disconnect any fuel lines attached to it. Install the new gas tank by connecting the fuel lines and securing it in place with the screws or clamps. Finally, refill the tank with the appropriate fuel mixture and check for leaks.
Remove the gas tank.
