An oil leak in a car should be checked and fixed. This can cause serious engine problems that will be very costly to repair if it is left too long.
Because you have a leak, or you parked over a puddle of someone else's transmission fluid. If it is from your car visit your local dealership otherwise park somewhere else.
about 25%
if car is leaking fluid , it has a leak a leak and steaming indicates it is engine coolant and the engine is over heating find the leak and fix it before your trash your engine
When it no longer shifts cleanly. First, check the fluid level when the engine is warm and running. You may have a leak. If so, add fluid to the full mark (DO NOT OVERFILL) and check beneath the car after it has been parked overnight to see if the leak is serious. New seals, while fairly expensive, are much cheaper than a rebuilt tranny or a new car.
Probably water from the air conditioner. on the other hand it can also lose some water after having warmed up with a full reservoir However that is usually the colour of coolant.
Does it only leak when parked w/engine off----if so i would start with the pan gasket. Fluid level rises above pan rail when trans not spinning.
Transmission fluid can leak from many places. It could leak from the actual transmission itself, or any of the tubing that goes from the transmission to other parts of the car.
The radiator fluid is low or you parked the car at am angle.
The transmission will not work without fluid.
you shouldn't have to keep putting PS fluid in your car. There is probably a leak that should be repaired.
As long as the parked vehicle is parked properly and not illegally parked in any manner, then the vehicle that rear-ended the parked car is at fault. Now if the parked car is sitting illegally (such as double parked or parked in a no parking zone, etc.) then the parked car is at fault or even both the parked car AND the car that hits it are BOTH at fault.
