In the hydraulic oil tank. Where that's located depends on which model of backhoe you have.
That is a Ford 550 backhoe.
it depends on the make & model of the transmission.
The type of transmission fluid to use should be engraved into your automatic transmission fluid dipstick ( at least it is on the newer model years )
You can add transmission fluid, by using a funnel. Place the funnel in the same to of which you check the transmission fluid. Do not over fill the transmission.
I would need to now the model of the Allison, there are different procedures depending on model. Allisontech
If it is an automatic transmission, then it should have a dipstick to check the fluid level. Depending on the make and model, the location of this dipstick will vary. If it is a manual transmission, then the fluid level really can't be checked and it will not have a dipstick.
Yes Ford's use transmission fluid; both 90 weight hypoid as well as Mercron fluid for automatics (some late model standards).
There is a plug on the drivers side of the transmission if it is a zf model. just remove and fill till fluid flow out the plug.
Need to know the transmission model in order to answer this.
