>you may use a transmission ATF fluid, if you can not find the brand you want
dealers endorse a brand for profit and also to control car owners choice/preference
but the truth , you can use just about any oil. the important thing is , it has oil to lubricate the hydraulic circuit.. power steering of a car is not as loaded like the boom on a crane and or any other heavy equipment machine.
>ATF will do and it will not break any seals, we do it here in my country, and we never have any reported accident cause by unbranded/not car factory recommended steering fluid.
>seal on Power Steering breaks/leaks due to age and overheating of engine, heat transfer in elementary school lesson.
>and for leaking power steering, you can add/tap it even with a clean engine oil..
>no need to worry it will break, it is already broken..
>have it repair/overhaul then fill it with any brand of steering fluid you want.
but rest assure, the ATF will do,, automatic transmission fluid..
power steering is also a hydraulic device, seals and O-rings uses the same rubber composition as in your power steering pump and automatic trans..
got it!
You probably need to top off your power steering fluid first. If the problem contiues then yes, it probably does need to be replaced.
There is no power steering fluid in alto lxi because it use electric power steering.... A electrical motor used for power steering so there is no need of fluid.
The fluid is: M2100-70149 and available in most parts shops and at dealers. You can get it at part shops or from a Mercedes Dealer. You cannot substitute it with generic fluid without causing problems in the future..
regular power steering fluid is all you need.
power steering fluid. power steering fluid. power steering fluid.
On newer corsas the power steering is all Electronic so it doesn't need power steering fluid.
no
I'll be civilized and answer this. The power steering pump is a hydraulic pump that needs fluid to pump so it can move the power steering gear. Simpler said no fluid no power steering. Hope you are not offended.
You either need power streering fluid or a power steering belt.
