While it is not exact these settings will provide a general guide when applying powdered or pelletized lime using most Scotts Spreaders. Please note we always suggest testing the pH level prior to an application of lime, to ensure that it would be reuqired and it takes roughly 40#-50# per 1,000 sq ft of lime to change the pH of the soil 1 level. and it can take up to 6 months for the change to occur in the soil.

  • 10# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 11.5
  • 30# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 12
  • 40# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 15.5
