i think around 35,000.. average is about 15000 a year :)
What engine does it have and what year is the car? the 2007 diesel I have is every 20,000 miles with a interim (oils and filters) service in year 1 then a main service in year 2, then 3 will be an interim, 4 will be a main and so on. so every year/20k miles. It is not 2 year/20,000 intervals as some people think with the Zafiras, and as a salesman at car giant tried to convince me, when I asked why a car had 1 service only in 49,000 miles! Hope this helps.
All car manufacturers provide a detail information regarding the use/Drive and servicing of a car this contain the automatic or manual Transmission too. If you have driven your car in between 12000 to 15000 miles then its important to have a service. This consist of changing the fluid, filter, and servicing of other parts as well. Other wise the Transmission will definitely stop responding as your instructions.
your alero has a sealed transmission, kinda wierd if you are used to regularly checking your fluids. on this car you just take it in for service. on my 2004 they recommended service every 50,000 miles
150.00

The short answer is yes. Car Services are essential in maintaining a road-safe and environmentally sound vehicle. Most car services are required once a year or every 10,000 miles - whichever comes first. This varies between makes, models and years of cars, as some older cars require a service every 6 months to keep them in tip-top condition.
average miles on a vehicle is 12000 to 15000 a year. so a car three years old would lose value after 45000 miles - would gain value at anything under 36000 miles.
