The excess heat makes the parts expand and "seize" effectively melting their molecules together.
Depending on the extent of the overheating, the most common failures are warped cylinder heads. If the engine overheated to the point it would no longer run, the piston rings probably shattered as well. At that point, it is usually uneconomical to repair and the entire engine should be replaced. The car stops and possible engine replacement may be required if it is an old car.
What problems can occur from engine oil overfill
Yes, If vehicle overheats it may cause freon (refrigerant) to blow out
Oil on engine burning as engine overheats. Sort of common sense, don't ya think?
The life of the engine unless the engine overheats.
It could be the fan switch mounted on the n/s of the radiator. Easy job, but if you've overheated the engine there may be further problems. Phil
Your question is not clear...
A bad camshaft can cause your engine to idle high and overheat. A fuel injector pump that needs to be adjusted can also cause the same problems.
Ruin it if it overheats with no lubricantProbably seize
You can blow a head gasket or the head can crack or be warped.
If an engine overheats the metal parts expand and the engine will seize up. A seized engine is usually unrepairable.
Minor problems will be increased engine noise and vibration, jerkiness when putting it to gear, etc. Worst case scenario will be the engine falling off from the mountings...
Anytime the engine overheats you have the possibility of blowing the head gasket.
