Well theres always a chance that you (or whoever is bagging the truck) will do crappy work, and things wil start breaking down the road. the most common problems to be aware of in this aspect are upper bag brackets in front. also proper bag alignment is an issue and you need to make sure the bags rubs nothing. If four linking in the rear, be sure the pinion angle stays pretty close to stock or you will have issues with the driveshaft and tranny. other problems include frozen valves on cold days (it sucks not being able to lift your truck off the ground)

a short can indeed cause this. Any grounding of the positive flow can cause numerous problems. Fix it befor you have a meltdown or fire.
