A more specific question would help however, speaking mechanically if the car is rear-wheel drive the output device to the rear wheels is called a differential or final drive unit, this unit splits the output of the propeller shaft which takes output from the transmission which takes output from the engine, into two separate outputs for each rear wheel. Relays use a small voltage input to create a large voltage output. In an automatic transmission the torque converter does all the work to match the speed of the vehicle with the engine output. The clutch in a manual transmission serves the same purpose but is operated by the driver. The flywheel sits at the output of the crankshaft and is mounted to a pressure plate and clutch. The exhaust tailpipe sits at the output of the catalytic converter (where fitted) and the end of the exhaust piping leading from the engine to the rear side or bottom of the vehicle. There are 100's of countless outputs mechanical, electrical and electromechanical on a car.
