small block and big block motor mounts are the same, so you should be able to take V8 motor mounts from most any Chevy engine bay.

That would require you to take the engine apart and inspect all the engine bearings to know for sure. It would be easy to notice a spun bearing.
yes but u have to change the tranny to and take out 4x4 or you can buy exspensive adapters to keep the tranny and 4x4 stock Where can i find the adapters?
Rule of thumb is 575 lbs with a cast iron intake. 535 lbs with an aluminum intake. Give or take from that depending on accessories and bracket set up.
383 ci (6.3 liters) is generally thought to be a large as you can safely go but kits are available to take a 350 upto 400 ci (6.6 liters)
take off the valve covers, and the rocker arms will have adjusting nuts on them, tighten them to zero lash and the back off 1/4 turn.
