It shouldn't be different than a normal 3,000 miles or every 3 months, but new vehicles have a break in period and during that time, usually at least 15000 miles or so(sumone correct me if im wrong, not completely shure bout that), you shouldn't ever push the engine full throttle, you have to let the vehicle get used to moving and running
wWhen securing the vehicle what should be the first task?
First time 100,000 miles for 1st generation HDI (2.0 and 2.2)
You whole change the oil every 2500 to 3000 miles, or whenever the vehicle tells you it should. If you need an oil change, the Jeep will making a ding-ing sound shortly after the engine is started up. I would recommend giving the vehicle it's first oil change after 2000 miles because that is when it gets the dirtiest.
After 3,000 miles you should have your oil changed and I believe after the first 1,000 miles on a new car it should be changed. If you have a lot of miles on your vehicle it might start burning oil.
If you can feel the gear change from second to first when stopping you may need transmission fluids. The transmission could be slipping or going out also. Take the vehicle to a mechanic so that they can see what the problem is.
Change it every 3500 miles if it is a pre 1995 vehicle. If it is a post 1995 Impala change it every 5,000 miles. It will say in your owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can go to a parts store and find a maintenance schedule on the first few pages of the Haynes manual for that vehicle.
