They make the Routan, which is a minivan, and will start selling it in the US in the fall. In Europe there are a lot of VW commercial vans, including their answer to the Sprinter.
It takes a full synthetic oil, 5w-30 or 5w40 or 0w30 or 0w40 as per the manufacutrer. I don't believe it matters what brand you use - it must only meet the VW specification of VW502.00. Don't use conventional oil.
