What Jeep vehicle was jeep Block number 53010328AB used in ?

Replaced engine (4,0 inline 6) in 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with used 4,0 engine. Starter will not turn new engine over. Solenoid engages but engine does not turn and sounds like it is bound up. "Barring" engine over at Harmonic balancer, counter clockwise produces sound like something dragging. Then turn clockwise and it "frees up". I know this engine (4,0 inline 6) was used in different models of Jeep from 1987 to 2006, that is why I need to know what year and model (Cherokee, Wrangler, CJ, etc.) this engine with above block number was originally in. There also is a stamped number on block, which is 001MX25.
